Motive

Mt. Dew Borderlands Motel

In a matter of just three weeks, we answered the call from Motive to help transform an Albuquerque motel into an apocalyptical scene from the movie Borderlands, for a special one-off pop-up event for Borderlands super fans. Evolve's scope from Motive for its client Mt. Dew — a custom fabricated neon motel sign, custom painted dimensional welcome sign, a beat up food truck DJ booth conversion, multiple oversized billboards & totems, hundreds of feet of rusted corrugate sheet fencing, custom Mt. Dew signs, cut timber entryways & props, moss flooring, lots of scrap piles and a killer install team. 13 business days? How could we refuse? We literally got scrappy with this one, leveraging our inventory of existing props, scrap materials, rental assets and scouring junk yards near our shop & locally in Albuquerque. This made for a sustainably-sourced event site that serves as a great example of how we execute against our Sustainability In Action initiative.
