Flavor That Hits Home

Motive called on Evolve to engineer, build & operate the Lay’s “Welcome to the Flavorhood” experiential sampling environment. To celebrate the launch of new potato chip flavors, Lay’s wanted to build a structure that colorfully presented four new regionally inspired chip flavors. The footprint featured a facade of 4 tiny houses that represented each regional flavor: a Midwest barn, an East Coast Cape Cod style house, a Southwestern desertstyle stucco house, and a West Coast inspired surf shack. Collaborating with Motive to find a sustainable approach to the build, we utilized a 20’ steel-framed pod from our rental inventory as the foundation of the structure. We then framedout the opening to create the four unique "houses" using FSC certified wood. The intricately detailed house facades were created using a variety of textural substrates that were hand painted and adorned by routed and graphic'd marquee signs designating the regional inspiration of each flavor. The interiors were finished with custom built and painted hanging shelving units and 6' wide serving counters. Printed graphics were installed throughout the interior rooms and exterior sides & rear of the structure. Evolve transported and installed the Lay's footprint at the Chi Town Half Marathon, the Santa Monica Pier and Tampa Riverfest.
